Southern Charm Investigations is led by Josh Baar, a licensed Georgia private investigator and retired police officer with 20 years of law enforcement experience.
Josh’s career included service with the Tampa Police Department, time on an undercover surveillance unit, service as a crisis and hostage negotiator, and years as a training officer, teaching new officers how to build a case, document it properly, and write reports that hold up. He is also a certified Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), trained to evaluate drug-impaired driving cases under the national DECP standard. He has testified as an expert witness in multiple high-profile trials.
That background shapes how SCI works. Josh knows how investigations are built, where evidence can go wrong, and what attorneys, courts and business owners need to see in a final report. Every engagement ends with clear written findings.
Based in Georgia, SCI handles work across Cobb, Cherokee, Pickens, Gilmer and Fannin counties, with records research, medical billing advocacy, due diligence and case review available statewide.
